Arrive HanoiPicked up at Noi Bai and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is free — the Old Quarter is walkable, and best seen slowly.

Ha Long Bay, a full dayAn early pick-up and the drive out through the countryside to Ha Long Bay. Aboard a cruise boat across the emerald water and its limestone karsts: kayaking or a bamboo boat through the lagoons, a cave to explore, and the climb up Titop Island for the view over the whole bay. Back to Hanoi in the evening.

Hanoi to DanangBreakfast, check out, and a transfer to the airport for the short hop south. Met at Danang and taken to your hotel on the coast.

Ba Na Hills and the Golden BridgeUp on one of the world's longest single-track cable cars, over forest and waterfalls, to the Golden Bridge held up by two vast stone hands. Then the French Village, the gardens at Le Jardin D'Amour and Linh Ung Pagoda. Buffet lunch is included.

Cam Thanh coconut forest and Hoi AnOut in a round bamboo basket boat through the Bay Mau coconut forest, with the fishermen showing how the day's work is actually done. Then Hoi An's old town at dusk: the Japanese Bridge, the lantern-lit streets along the Hoai river, and a lantern boat with the flower release.
